DELHI 2 DUBLIN
Hour Magazine wrote that "Delhi 2 Dublin is the United Nations of rock 'n' roll". The Vancouver, Canada-based band plays an energetic mash-up of Bhangra, Celtic, Dub, Reggae and Electronica with global rhythms and club beats.

Tarun Nayar, Sanjay Seran, Andrew Kim and Ravi Binning along with new members Jaron Freeman-Fox and Sara Fitzpatrick are diverse in both their backgrounds and musical influences. The band has been together almost five years and has released three albums including its latest, Planet Electric. The album title is apt because the six musicians feel that they plug directly into the world's music and energy.

"Not being able to fit into any specific genre allows the band to create whatever we like and not be judged for it. Our audience expects nothing less." The band finds this advantageous for their live show as it enables them to create a flow to their sets much like a DJ would for the dance floor. "Audiences love to see a band transcending stereotypes and letting the music speak for itself". The Delhi 2 Dublin crew are road warriors. They have played major festivals in both Canada and the U.S. including Bumbershoot in Seattle, Earthdance in California, High Sierra in California, Stern Grove in San Francisco as well as such diverse events as SXSW in Austin, the Keelung City Ghost Festival in Taiwan and the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. The band has an ambitious schedule planned for 2011 starting off with a handful of dates throughout the US, as well as expanding horizons to include performances in the Pacific Rim and Europe.

TREGUENDA
Treguenda is an electro-acoustic music project featuring members of Woodland and Adam Hurst. Treguenda's music explores the shadowy roots of old world magic, with poetic songs inspired by mediterranean lore and archaic european legends. Driven by a mix of electronic rhythms and ethnic drums and percussion, and featuring ancient instruments, Treguenda brings the past and present full circle through a lush and lyrical musical soundscape. Instrumentation includes harp, cello, guitar, hurdy gurdy, bazouki, whistles, flutes, drums and percussion, all woven together with electronica and live harmony vocals.

WHAT IS A TREGUENDA? In the old world tradition of Italy the word for seasonal rites was Treguenda (Tray-gwen-dah). In modern Italian the word Treguenda means 'quarterly or every three months'. In the Stregherian tradition there are eight Treguendas: four major and four minor. The major festivals occur in October, February, May and August and these are the Spiritual rites. The minor festivals occur on the Spring and Autumn Equinox and on the Summer and Winter Solstice. These are the Earth festivals and are seasonal and agriculture-related in nature. The word Treguenda has as its root the word Tregua, which means "a respite, or a truce". It is interesting to note that "Tregua" (tray-gwah) is also slang for the Full Moon Ceremony.

For the last 10 years, Emilio and Kelly Miller-Lopez of Woodland and Faerieworlds have been creating seasonal gatherings of music, dance and earth connection, rooted in faerie and Celtic lore. Treguenda is a new creative project which will journey south from the musical explorations of Woodland, to ancestral roots in Italy, Greece and Sicily, and to the mediterranean lore and traditions of the Strega. Treguenda will also include the romantic instrumentals of cellist Adam Hurst, which often feature the rich tonality of classical Italian styles. Married together with the Miller-Lopez's poetic invocation, Treguenda is a journey to a hidden world, where magical kin gather under the moon and stars to remember the old ways through music, poetry, ritual and dance.
