Faerie Academy gives you the rare opportunity to work with acclaimed artists and craftspersons in small and intimate groups. In an "up close and personal" context, you will learn the secrets of their craft and / or make something beautiful under their guidance. Jessica Macbeth
For over 35 years, best selling author Jessica Macbeth has immersed herself in the mysteries of Faerie. In this rare workshop, Jesa will be your personal guide into the Realm using visualizations and meditations that will open the experience of the Realm to you. Jesa taught these same techniques to Brian & Wendy Froud who still use them today in their work with Faerie.

Making Beaded Faerie Stars -
Dancing Hands
An experienced bead designer of over 30 years and bead store owner, Dancing Hands will share her techniques and secret to making beaded Faerie Stars. These stars will be used to make willow wands in class, or participants may choose to keep the star for a car decoration or window hanging. Students will use semi precious stone beads (amethyst, rose quartz, citrine, clear quartz), Swarovski crystals, and czech beads, both new and antique. Beginning beaders welcome; all materials are included. Ages 10 and up.

Students will also make a "Kalis Stick", featured in the Calistonia Faeren's martial art in the stories and in the Kalis Dance Contest currently featured on the "Fairy Godmother Academy" website.

Journey to the Faery Grotto -

Join Raven and Stephanie for a workshop on connecting with beings of the Faery Realm. Included in the workshop is a guided meditation journey that results in obtaining a mystical connection. Afterward each person in attendance will receive an interpretation of the symbol she or he receives during the journey experience. The workshop also includes a brief talk on Faery beings and the human experience of them as recorded in various documentations of the past.

After a short history of different types of puppetry, Master Puppeteer Bill Cass will teach you the 5 basics of hand puppetry and help you find your own character, voice, and mannerisms so you can breathe life into a puppet. Mark weaves his Word Pictures to enchant and instruct you in the hands-on secrets of how to become a great storyteller. Come and explore your imagination as you create your own Word Pictures! Mark is first and foremost a storyteller. His 35 years of professional experience have most notably won him two Emmy awards and a performance on The Tonight Show. His goal is to re-awaken the art of storytelling in the world of today and to re-introduce this world to its imagination. Age 16 to Adult.

Faces of the First Forest -
Toby Froud
Join Toby Froud as he guides you through a leaf mask making experience. After a short presentation of how green man/ Leaf masks have played a part in the Froud family's creations. Toby will guide you through the process of creating your own leaf mask, from shape, through foliage and onto finishing paint work. No experience of mask making is needed. All materials are included.
